Our knowledge of North America's forests, we dare say, rivals that of the esteemed Mr. Bunyan. We've canvassed America to find the five finest native woods. We hand select the best and mill them with a quarter-sawn cut to create a straight-grained look. Then they are engineered in our SingleStrip format and pre-finished for beauty that lasts and lasts.
Named after Costa Rica’s most famous nature preserve, it is only fitting that the Monteverde Collection is as environmentally friendly as it is beautiful.

Our SingleStrip flooring is crafted to look like a traditional solid wood plank floor. But its engineered stability makes its beauty far more than skin deep. Its hard, thick, solid wood wear layer gives it that unique, yet natural look. It comes in truly random lengths, from 12" to 84". And its edges are milled square for a site-sanded and finished look. Our SingleStrip never met a dry subfloor it didn’t like. Because of its construction, our flooring can be used in a wide variety of installation settings, including below grade in dry conditions. It can be glued, nailed, stapled onto or floated over most any subfloor type. Our High Wear finish isn’t quite bulletproof. But almost. When you go to the lengths we do to find the finest woods, you don’t skimp on the finish. We protect our prize with nine coats of High Wear, UV-cured Acrylic Urethane with high-wear Aluminum Oxide in Satin Gloss. So, thanks to our nine coat technology, your floor will have nine lives or more.
